​​Hi! My name is Ms. Richards, and I’m so excited to be part of the Ivy Hawn community this year. I’m originally from Gloucester, Massachusetts, and just moved to Florida this past summer. I earned my bachelor’s degree in English and Secondary Education from Western New England University in 2019 and spent six wonderful years teaching high school Language Arts at Landmark High School in Beverly, MA. While teaching, I also earned my master’s degree in Special Education from Boston University. I’m passionate about helping students discover their voices through reading and writing, and I strive to make my classroom a safe, comfy space where everyone feels supported and encouraged to take risks. When I’m not at school, you can usually find me at home watching Harry Potter on repeat with my two precious cats.
